Hello,

Looking for advice on how to Improve my set up Its my first attempt so still not quite sure about all th correct plants to use.

Can you tell me the names of the plants please?

Sorry to say but I am suspecting that there are some non-aquatic plants in there! I'm thinking the red / green variageted one on the right for starters.

...don't just take my word for it though!

Andy you are right i was told this on another thread i Was told it may last a week its been in ten days now and it looks like there are new leaves in the middle forming which seems a bit odd as like yourself belive it to be non aquatic

Not unusual for this. Some non-aquatic / semi-aquatic plants may seem to do well, but I will hazard a guess that it will be DOA in under 3 months..

A hell of a lot of non-aquatic plants are sold in (even good) fish shops. God knows why. If they are variaged, they are non-aquatic for starters.

I visitied a well renowed fish shoppe Maidenhead Aquatics near Wimbourne for the first time last week. Great fish I can tell you. Plants - pathetically poor. I mean really, really poor. 80% non-aquatic and covered in pond snails t'boot.

Red/Green, White/Green and the grasses at the front left/ centre rear are non aquatics :(
