150g Stocking Options

Hi I am in thr process of finishing off cycling my 150g tank here is the stocking list I have come up with I know some of the fish are not as aggressive as others so I will keep an eye on them I have a good relationship with my lfs so they will take back any if it didnt work out:

1x Oscar
1x Jack dempsy
1x Red shoulder severum
1x Firemouth
1x Blue acara
5x Silver dollars
1x Senegal Birchir
1x Delhezi / Albino senegal Birchir
1/2x Shovel nose catfish

What do you guys think or what would you change and add different

oscars and jack dempseys are natural enemies is what i've been told by many people at the fish store. i would really really watch them

Nope the 2 can live together.

Sounds good. but just watch the aggression issues. As you may get a mean oscar and he could go on a killing spree, or your Jd could be a big whimp and the firemouth could tear him apart.

so just keep an eye on the aggresion and youll be fine, and try to add them all at the same time. and ass babies so they will grow up together.

blue acaras are wimps.With a jd it mightbe a bit dodgy

Yeah thats what I thought ill just keep an eye on them all will be around 2-4" apart from the red shoulder severum who will be about 6"

My Blue Acara was a nasty little thing, it killed the fish I was babysitting (an organge chromid and firemouth) after that I went and bought my angel and the acara also ripped it to shreads, thankfully I seperated them in time. Kind of funny though, because we now keep a blue acara with our koi. (room is streched out right now at the store)

Well hopefully if they all grow up together things should be ok but as you all know cichlids are unpredictable so who knows but as with most things try and find out luckily I do have spare tanks in case of emergancies
