currently home to 2 lonely neon tetras, what would you stock back up with?
the two neons did have friends, until the brutal Sid Vicious aka a German Blue Ram, killed them all plus wiping out three corys. he died suddenly and without warning on friday, suicide maybe? anyway.

this isn't my tank, it's my brothers. he's moving house at the end of the month, so the lonely only tetras will have to make do until the move, but after the move, what would you do? a couple more neon friends will be added of course, but what else? it will have bogwood/slate decor plus sand substrate with a gravel base, and maybe another attempt at planting. previous attempts haven't been so successful. it's 15 US gallons.

yes he did really, or some unusual, but not aggressive options. he's been made a bit wary of cichlids now!

You could get some more neon tetras. Rummy-nosed tetras look nice as well. Cardinals would do fine. Just small peaceful tetras would do great if you want shoaling fish. O wait so you said that your german blue ram died right. because if he didnt then the new fish you get will probably get killed if they are shoaling fish.

Hi catxx :)

Why not consider one of the many species of corydoras available. A small school of them would be nice on the bottom of the tank, along with the neons on top. :D

yeah, i second the corydoras :good:

and since you already have two neons, i would say just get more of those so that they can have more friends to swim with.

If you didnt have the neons, i would probably say tiger barbs

yeh neons need atleast a group of 6 to feel secure but you could also get a few white cloud moutain minnows there great fun to watch.
whatever you decide on goodluck
