Nice looking tank - I have always had fake plants and am now just starting to add real plants in to my one tank. All these give me ideas of how I want mine to look.

Nice Job

Oh it looks lovely. I love the foreground plants. I think I have something similar but only a couple. Looks really good. I've been wondering what your tank looks like.

can I ask a really dumb question - well its not dumb to me cos I dont know anything about planted tanks.
How do you go on with gravel cleaning in a planted tank - are the plants in individual small pots or are they into the substrate. I have seen some tanks with a carpet of plants - doesnt the poop get collected and then cause cleaning problems

I know - your all going "cor what a thicky" but if i dont ask i'll never know

right now i dont clean my gravel :) never did since day one :p

my plants came in pots but i removed them from the pots and planted them right into the substrate

i dont want to vacuum my gravel because il end up sucking a lot of baby shrimps up :) and i dont really think its needed, im not heavily stocked and i think the poop produced by the fishes, shrimps and snails become fertilizer for the plants :)

you know, the planted people here dont really know what kind of shrimp it is some think they are ghost shrims, some rainbow but i think they are local shrimps from the mountains here :) it looks ghostly but when it breeds i never got to see any of those larvae thingies, i only see the baby shrimps, il try really hard to get a picture of one of em :)

I like it! Trim thiose plants and try propagating them and you'll soon have a beatiful tank, although u already do. Having the back wall completely covered will look even better in my opnion! :)

Whats on the right hand side of the tank? Black box looking thing.

Btw love all the plants.

the black box is an internal filter i rigged to a c02 reactor :)

the vallis were supposed to cover the back part of the tank but they just wont grow :( i really dont know why !! yeah im taking the cuttings and planting em again :D and even throwing a lot away :D they grow too quickly (easy maintenance plants that is :D hehe )

for some wierd reason, I think the arrangement of the tall plants looks really good. At first glance it seems a bit disarrayed, but after looking at it longer it gives me visions of an alien skyscape, whose skyscrapers are the tall plants with a bustling city below. nice tank!
