Hi, i am getting a 14 gallon planted aquarium, questions to be answered:

Is this fine in a 14 gallon: 3 guppy's, 4 Cory catfish and 2 dwarf gourami's. If I'm under stocked tell me if i can have more fish, if im over stocked change my setup.

What are some good easy beginner plants.

Can add a bristle nosed pleco.

The dwarf gouramis will kill the guppies, I may be wrong but I have heard stories of gouramis killing tank mates smaller than them... The cories should be ok if you have lots of bottom hiding areas and I'd add 1 or 2 more cories to your 4 you want to do. Also no on the bristlenose unless you want a baby one and then get a 40 gallon tank later on when he grows out of the 15g. Also to my knowledge guppies are fish that do best in hard water and all the other fish you want are soft water. Have you tested your tap water yet?

Let's start again...what's the condition of the water going to be?

Regarding plants, I've found the Alternanthera rosaefolia and Hygrophila pinnatifida have grown very well in my tanks, as have the Amazon Swords.
More recently, I've been impressed by the growth of my Limnophila sessiliflora.

NOTE that I spent the money on quite a few of plants from Tropica and can say that these are well worth the money.

For a floating plant, Salvinia auriculata has done exactly what I wanted it to do. I believe most floating plants are good for beginners, because they genuinely need little input from us and do a great job regardless.

We need to know the hardness of your water because guppies are hard water fish while the others are soft water fish.

Cories are shoaling fish so they need to be in a group of at least 6, and the three dwarf species need at least 10.

Agree with essjay, and also, what are the tank dimensions (length and width particularly)?
