Well I am toying with the idea of selling on/giving up my Honduran Red Point pair and all the fry/juvi's as I am slowly getting over run...Currently I have the breeding pair on batch 3 in the 125 litre tank with batch 2 fry/juvis in with them too about to get picked off by the male no doubt. I also have 9 from batch one in the main tank with 2 Leucistic's deciding to prepare a nest site too! Current thoughts are of keeping just one of the Leucistic HRP that are 1" in the main tank with all the SA fish and parting with the rest. If that were the case I would have a 125Litre tank empty and ready for something new...

I am wondering if I should go for something a little different in the tank next or have dwarf cichlids with no two from the same species (i.e. no breeding), here's my thinking of species I would like to keep so far
  • Apisto
  • Bolivian ram
  • Shelldweller
  • Freshwater puffer
  • Dwarf Pike cichlid
  • Dwarf Snakehead
Please suggest anything and everything that comes to mind to add to the options...it doesn't have to be cichlids but if not I would want something more oddball(ish) as a normal community tank fish just doesn't appeal really until they're an addition and not a centre piece.

What would you're ideal 125 litre tank consist of?

Just looking for inspiration really...

I really like the idea of dwarf pike cichlid or shelldwellers, not exactly sure which but of the species but from whatI have seen they certainly look very interesting and different
