Hi all,

I am new to the cichlid community and the only cichlids I owned in the past were oscars and convicts. I had my 125 gallon tank running for a long time before the last 4 years when I had to shut it down while at college. But now I just set it back up with a whole new look. I still have to cycle the big guy but in the meantime I am trying to determine what I am going to stock it with. My current set-up is as follows:

125 Gallon (72"L X 18"W X 24"H)
Substrate: Aragonite (Aragamax Select)
Decor: Lava, volcanic, quartz, green, and a variety of other rocks (decent amount of hiding places)
Filtration:
Rena Filstar XP3
Fluval 405
Aquaclear 110

Total Gph: Approx 1200 gph

Currently I am leaning towards owning Nimbochromis venustus, but am trying to determine tank mates. I like larger fish.

I've heard that blue haps and various peacocks make for good tank mates and I love the looks of all of these guys. I would really like to get a RTBS as well, but do you guys think he is compatable, Ive heard mixed experiences. Am also thinking about some Clown Loaches. Let me know what you guys think?
