125 Gallon Tank W/ 2 Oscars

I just finished setting up my 125 gallon tank for my two oscars. I was wondering they are still babies no more then 6 inchs. Is there anything else i can put in here a pleco maybe? A large one, Will they show Aggression towards it as they get older?

A large plec would work, a common would be best with large oscars. An adult bristlenose may work, though with really big oscars they may try to swallow him. This could be bad for both the oscar & the plec.

Even though it is a large tank, you will need some major filtration with 2 oscars, no matter what else you put in there. A plec will just add to it. Overfilter like crazy & it should work out fine.

Im running two aqua clear 110's Prev. know as 500's each is good for a 100 gallon tank so the filtration is good, the oscars are still very small each about 5-6 inchs. They are black and white can the interbreed, since ive had them they just hang out with one another even in the 125 is it possible they have paired or as im expecting they will one day turn on one another and one may try to kill the other.

I run that filtration on my 55s and 75s. I would probably look at adding a canister filter to that as well. as for other fish depending on how long the oscars have been in that tank and the tank set up as far as having lots of caves I have seen people have fish such as firemouths in with their oscars, though again like I said it depends on how long these oscars have been in the tank. though I think that the pleco suggestion is probably your best bet.

I believe those filters are sufficient. They are $80.00 each i hope they are, i run one of those on my 55 gallon malawi and two of them are running on this, i was told by the manager of the LFS that it was sufficient for the tank, also i saw a rather large pleco for $40.00 he was about 14 inchs the oscars are only 5-6 is it a good choice to pick him up? The oscars have been in the tank for two days the tank has been set up for 4.
