I have had 12 dead guppys in 3 days..
The other fish are fine (I have a black widow tetra, 7 neons, 1 black neon, 3 corys, 1 coolie loach)..
Why is it ust my guppys that are dying?

Is there some form of guppy lurgy that i should be treating?

1 or 2 have been swimming a bit funny (possibly swimbladder problem) but the rest have just 'colapsed' and died..

There are no symptoms showing....

Thanks
Claire

Tank size would be good to make sure you not overstocked as you have ammonia reading, how long has the tank been set up, need to get that ammonia reading down, plus your nitrate reading could do with fetching down if you can get it any lower, what your tap nitrate reading.
Guppys are very sensitive to water quality and bad water quality can fetch swim bladder on.
In this warm weather do you have alot of aeration in the tank, and also would like to know how often you maintain your tank.

Tank size: Not sure

Can you give us measurements? Would be helpful to have measurements of tank and list of occupants. If you don't have a tape measure then a rough estimate is better than nothing at all.

40cmx60cmx30cm (1ftx2ftx1.5ft)

Occupants:
5 Guppys (at the mo)
1 Black neon
1 Black widow tetra
4 Phantom tetras
3 corys
1 coolie loach
7 neons

I have had the tank set up for about 2 years.
The nitrate and ammonia have always been at those levels with no probs til now...
How do I reduce these?

Holy overloaded tank batman!

Your're overstocked as you can tell that by the ammonia reading plus your nitrate reading, if you want to keep all the fish you will have to invest in another filter as that one not coping.
