I just saw this on TV, has anyone else seen it?

Its a woman and a guy and a fishtank with a very dodgy looking blackmoor in it (and several other goldfish from another angle). And she asks the guy to feed her fish and he drops his shaver in the tank and there is a bang and sparks and he looks horrified...

Need a petshop? Call 118 500!!

There is nothing in the advert *as such* that anyone could actually complain about and tbh it wouldnt matter much if there was. But the implications?

What made them think this was a good idea to sell their product?

Some people are #138## weird!

It's just an advert, and the exploding shaver is just CGI, that wouldn't happen in real life. The fish were there for probably an hour at most just for filming the advert.

I think it's a pretty good advert actually, it serves its purpose well and grabs the audience.

I do think it's a shame when goldfish are shown as being so easy to replace - I was so attached to my goldies! They are pets after all.

But yeah...it's just an advert. Bit daft, but harmless.

It's similar sort of thing for the john lewis advert at xmas, everyone was saying how a dog got left outside in the cold, it was just an advert, get over it lmao

I know its hardly 'real', im not that stupid and not about to start complaining and petitions and stuff....

It was just the idea of people using the ideals that 'pets are expenidible' to advertise their product.

TBH you are right, it caught my attention. Job done. Same as the stupid Cadburys adverts... very clever, completely random, irritated the life out of me but i remembered them! Not that i have much respect for Cadburys and more
