Hi!
I got a 110L tank for christmas, cycled it and currently have 3 baby bristlenoses! I also have a 60L with 2 CRS, a honey gourami, 2 ADFs 6 Celestial pearl danios and 3 active Kuhlis.

Before I got the tank I wanted some puffers, but they just seem more trouble than theyre woth now and now I'm thinking of going more down the cichlid-communityish tank and was just wondering what some suggestions would be? I'm getting a pair of wild apistos tomorrow! I just need convincing on what other fish to get, maybe overstocking slightly wouldn't be that bad as I have an internal that is almost twice as powerful as needed iirc.

Would an angel fit in it or would it need a taller tank?
Thanks.

You are right in thinking that puffers are a VERY bad idea, as not only is your tank too small, but puffers also like brackish water.
I think you could get away with an angel in your tank (possibly a few) provided you include very few other (if any) tankmates, bear in mind that angels are slow fish and don't appreciate having their fins nipped by smaller fish which they will procede to eat when they are large enough.
As for other cichlids suited to your tank, a combination of: Keyhole cichlids, chessboard cichlids, Ramirez cichlids or even a krib or two.
Thanks,
Jamie

I was actually thinking of getting 3 SAP's which are freshwater and could live in the 110L with the possibility they would leave the apistos alone depending on their nature :). I think angels might grow a bit big though after a bit of research :(
