After being out of freshwater for some time I've decided to start a 10gallon planted nano. Before I've never used any plants in my tanks except for hornwort and this one onion plant. I'm looking into making it clean except crowded. So i'm leaning towards getting grass. So it'll mat out, and for floating plants I want either hornwort or something else. Suggestions needed from you guys! So please post them. Its empty right now but I was thinking of using sand as a substrate but knowing that most plants cannot root themselves very well in sand I might be able to switch that around with something else

That's a very broad question, can I suggest you read the many journals on here and see what plants you like the look of, then ask questions about specific plants? Its very difficult to suggest plants as I've got no idea what look you're going for, what the set you have, etc.

There is a pinned thread which has lots of easy plants listed, that should give you some good ideas.

I just want plants that will do well under 20watt lighting. Just need some suggestions on some good nice floating plants and some rooted plants.
