hi

wat colourful sish could go wiv gupplys but wouldnt eat the fry??

thanx for replys an keep them comin
Cories are about the only fish that won't eat fry. Well, they'll eat fry if they're lying on the bottom so that might be a natural way to help make sure the strongest survive. Pretty much anything else is going to enjoy a fry snack if they're in with the guppies.

Although, if you're interested in keeping the fry, you probably wouldn't want any other fish in the tank with the guppies or you're going to run out of room quickly unless you have a grow out tank for the fry.

wow a lot of good feedback, thanx jmaster for amkin the topic. tell us wut u decide to get :D

if you do guppys than you will need as many (if not more) females than males. the females dont look as good, but the males will fight with eachother if they are alone together. in my 10 gallons i have mollies, cories, and black mystery snails. good luck with your tank.

hay everyone

thanx for all the feedback

i still havent made up my mind but ill definutly let u no wat i go for

Dwarf puffers will have to be kept in a species only tank and there's nothing colourful that will go in with them. You might be able to pull off keeping a couple of ottos in with them or a bristle nose plec, but thats where it ends. :/

In a 10 Gallon I'd say you can keep 3 dwarf puffers. Some say you can push it to four ... lets put it this way, my 15 Gallon had 3 dwarf puffers in it, but 2 of them just could Not get along, so now it has 2 dwarf puffers in it, and I've got a 3 gallon with 1 dwarf puffer in it.

If you're new to fish, I'd not recommend puffers at all, seeing as they're definatly not the hardiest fish around. Also, they require a lot more attention than your usual fish seeing as they're very messy, plus you'll have to clean out there tank once a day for the food that they didnt eat. Unless ofcourse you manage to get the feeding amount just right. They're also picky when it comes to food. They cant survive on flake food, there regular food is bloodworms, preferably live else frozen. They will also need to be able to get to snails to keep their teeth down, else they'll over grow and wont be able to eat. Dont think they're the kind of fish you're looking for ;) Though, I gotta admit you'll definatly love them to pieces and they're worth the effort! Just know what you get into before getting any. Do your research first :)

For a 10 Gallon, colourful, I'd go for a school of harlequins with a couple of small staying corries. If you havent reached your stocking limit yet after that, neons would make a nice addition

If you want a more lively tank, I'd go for zebra danios, definaly not the most "colourful" fish, but you'll never get bored of looking at them concidering they just Never stop moving around, chasing eachother, etc. They're also the more hardy fish, so should be easier to keep.
