So I never even knew this thread existed.
Yeah, I'm not the brightest bulb in the tank hood.

so ANYWAY... Here are pics of my planted girly betta tank:

Those 2 were way back when I first set it up. I have since then added 6 betta girlies and gone thru a cycling (with them in it). Yeah, I know I know. But it worked and everyone is fine.
After the cycling was finished, I took things out and rearranged when I did a pretty massive gravel vacuum. Here is the new and improved tank layout:

Yay, how exciting this thread is.
heh heh

Veryyy nice! I want to do a girly tank but I have no space now. :(
And when you said thread before, I thought you meant my individual thread, not this whole section of the forum! Damn woman, you've been missing out! :p

I know it!
I wish I had this great place to copy layouts from.
I spent days and days drawing the layout for my tank before I went and bought the plants. I even had a list of how many plants I needed, how many lbs. of gravel, what kind of arches and caves I wanted, how many and what size of beach pebbles and rocks I wanted and I really wanted a piece of driftwood that meausured about 9" long.

I got everything I wanted plus a bonus. PetSmart had a piece of driftwood that was fake - made of ceramic or something. lol

I now have my mind set on a gorgeous corner 29G tank - will have a sand bottom, lots of slate and rocks piled up to make lots of caves and swim-thrus, and lots of plants. Oh, and there will also be beach pebbles too.

That's beautiful BettaMomma! I bet the girls love that driftwood..

Yeah, they like their tank. :)
One of them in in quarantine right now - I'm treating her for what appears to be an infected head bonk. (don't ask)
Anyway - she's sulking around her measly little 2 gallon tank like she just lost her best friend.

And I"m pretty sure they like their *ahemfakeahem* driftwood. hee hee hee!
:D

Yeah - it fooled me until I picked it up and it weighed a ton.
I think it was something like 9 bucks??
They love to swim thru the holes in it. I think it's their favorite toy in there right now :)

Hmmm... it's better than normal wood! It's heavy so it sinks without being boiled for eternity... no tannins... I've gotta get some. :shifty:
