Well, this is my first planted tank... I decided to start small, and the only current resident is a little crowntail betta called Phoenix. I plan on putting platies in there after the tank has cycled, which I'm still studying. I haven't even started yet. Anyway, here:

Substrate: Pea gravel.
Light: 50 watts
Plants: Jungle Vallisneria, Water Wisteria, Java Ferns, & Hornwort.
co2: None.
Goal: To have the plants reproduce and get some java moss! Looking for a close buy and a cheap price. Well actually, I'm only looking for someplace close because the way I see it, farther away = higher price.

What do you think? BTW, the brown thing at the bottom is indian almond leaf.

Nice, but think you could do with some more plants :)

Yup, that's what I'm looking for. :good: Some java moss for the rocks or riccia maybe, and then a long background plant.. but it'll look a lot better when the plants start filling out, I already have a whole ton of java fern babies ready. Well, not ready to pick... but I don't know when to pick?

I changed the layout today and put some more rocks in, letting the dust settle before I put Phoenix back in. I don't have pictures ATM. I also added a cheap background, it's just construction paper but IMO it looks good.

Well, here it is. I do need some good tall plants. What do you suggest?? Prefferably something that can grow without co2, but I do have a bubbler - just I don't know how co2 works.
