It can be a veriety of lengths. It can be a tall tank or a long one. Anyway I'd estimate 7-8 feet? for a long.

Length times width times height (in inches). Divide by 231. That gets you the number of gallons. Depends on if it's square, long, or tall.

I didn't have any info on a 100 gallon but...

90 gallon US = 48.5"L x 18.5"W x 25 3/8"H
120 gallon US = 48.5"L x 24.5"W x 25.5"H
125 gallon US = 72.5"L x 18.5"W x 23 3/8"H

A standard off the shelf 100 US gallon tank is 48x20x24". The Juwel Rio 400 also works out at around 100g with a length of 5 feet and a height and width of 20 inches.
