100 Gal Tank

On monday we are getting the materials needed for the stand for my new aquarium and i am going to swop around all my fish so my 100 gal has plants.It has two measley 36watt tubes no co2 and just sand/gravel substrate.How can i add the plants without getting algae.Atm i am thinking of buying two 5lb on tropca plant substrate but i havn't got any money.Would planting with loads of fast growers work?

Planting with lots of fast growers should prevent algae bvacked up by regular water changes. I doubt you will get much algae however with low lighting and if you weren't get algae previously with the same conditions then you shouldn't get it now.
