hey all, I have found many recommendations about stocking a new tank, but I just want to ask for your opinion and HELP too.
My 10 USG freshwater tank has 2 dwarf gouramis, 2 mollies, 2 platties, 2 cory catfish, 1 rainbow shark (small), and 1 golden inca (apple family) snail. My 29 USG freshwater tank is ready and the cycle is almost done. I added the 2 gouramis to the new tank and they look happy for now.
I want to have community fish in the new tank, and mostly the ones that get along. I also want to have a colorful tank with variety. No guppys as they are very frail, and also no aggressive fish please! Also I would prefer active fish, not the ones that sit on the bottom doing nothing and just shivering
I was thinking of adding 4 more mollys, all being different in color and pattern, ie, 1 dalmatian, 1 black, 1 gold, 1 marble + 4 more plattys, all being different in color and pattern.... + 2 albino corys. Is it ok to have such variation between mollys? will thay school together? same question about plattys.
OR do you suggest getting rid of the plattys, and adding maybe tetras...Let me know of any combination that you seem fit for a 29 USG tank. I can return the fish that I have since I have kept the receipts
Although I'm at the mercy of the LFS, but still I take any recommendations from you
I understand having schools is better than having just a couple of each species, and I don't want to have large fish in the new tank.
I would appreciate your help.
