While i was searching for some old photo's, i stumbled across these pics i took of the rats way back earlier this year which i never got around to posting here. Since i think the rats look so cute in the pics, i guess now is as good a time as ever to post the pics, hope you like them ;

I love my 3 little rats .

I orginally got maya (the black and white one) as a christmas present, because she was an unexpected present, i had to do a lot of research on keeping rats very quickly- a lot of people in particular helped me out with this, in particular KathyM (thanks kathy, your advice has always been helpful on keeping the rats ), i bought sunny and tocca a little while later to keep maya company, so they are a little younger than maya (even though they do not look alike, they're actually from the same batch/they're sisters) .

Everyone benefets from having a lil rat, they're so sweet they really brighten up your day when you look at them and see their happy little inquisitive faces .

lovely, very cute, i got friendly with a girl from another fish forum who breeds loads of different rats and takes it dead serious, i mean she even wouldn't not let me buy one of her rats unless she vetted me out proper which i liked. I didnt go through with it, but will one day

Since the pics already in this thread are quite old (taken a lot earlier this year), i decided to update the thread with pics of my rats that i took this very day- the only things that have really changed about the rats is they're all a little fatter (or maybe it is my imagination) and tocca has a little old bite mark in her ear (happened a very long time ago- when i got tocca and sunny, they were a fair bit small than maya, so maya was automatically at the top of the pecking order. But as sunny and tocca caught up with maya size-wise, they went through a phase of squabling and that was when tocca got her ear bitten. Anyhoo, the squabbling was just a very short phase, no serious injuries sustained, mostly just harmless, and they stopped soon enough, and as ever they get along perfectly now days- inseperable !).

When i take my rats out while i'm in my sitting room, there's a plant on the widow ledge behind a blind in the sitting room that the rats are obsessed with ( ), almost everytime they will climb up on the window sill and play around the plant, such cute little rats, so this time i decided to take some pics of the rats in the undergrowth and more , here goes;

Their cage;

Rats are not very good at making nests ;

"Wake up you two! ("morning" for them is 2:30pm in the afternoon, wish i could sleep in that long!)";

The plant (excuse the price tag please, been on there for years );

Sunny inspecting a toy whale i won at a fair the other day;

Because the rats were so good, i gave them a tray of old lettuce plants as a treat to eat and play with in their cage ;

Such destructive little rats lol
