fish have you got in thir??

Judging by your final pics I am guessing that Martin Baker will not be branching out in to the world of aquatics.

Do you use ADA glassware for CO2 diffusion, or something a tad cheaper? I am toying with the idea of a glass CO2 diffuser for my tank.

P.S. That tank is superb, right down to the choice of the minimalist looking fish.

Wow absolutley incredible! How much time and effort have you put into it? And if you don't mind me asking how much has this setup cost you?

Thanks.
So when is this gonna be featured in PFK George?
Not sure. A few months time hopefully, possibly sooner.

I was using an Aqua Essentials Aqua Mini glass diffuser (£7.99) but I broke it when cleaning it (my own fault). Now I use a Dymax model (£4.99). They both work very well but require a decent circulation to spread the CO2 microbubbles effectively. Positioning the diffuser just below the filter output works well.

A lot of time and effort has gone into this. I would be lying if I said it was easy, although it is possible for anyone to create something like this. The key to success lies in using appropriate hardware (lighting, CO2 and ferts), healthy plants, regular maintenance and attention to detail.

Approx cost -

Tank - £10 (Clearseal 12x8x8")
Filter - £8 (Aqua Vital 160)
Lighting - approx £35 total (Interpet PC T5 tube and controller, DIY T8 reflector)
CO2 - approx £100 (pressurized system)
Substrate - £10 (5Kg 1-2mm inert gravel with compost base)
Ferts - approx £15 (Tropica AquaCare Nutrition, potassium nitrate)
Decor - £1.50 (rocks), £8 (riccia stones)
Plants - approx £30 (Tropica Eleocharis acicularis, Riccia sp. "Dwarf")
Fish - approx £20 (Microrasbora nana)

Total - approx £230
