After a few years of not being involved I've decided to get back into the fish keeping hobby. Money is a bit tight so I'm planning on getting a 10 gallon tank and working from there. I am hoping that someone could tell me some good companies that make solid (but not expensive) 10 gallon tanks, or could point me to some good web sites (I have been having a surprisingly difficult time finding things online).

Thanks!

I would highly recommend the Via Aqua VA 380. Has been a great little first tank. The only problem is the poor bulb it comes with. Because I wanted decent plant growth I have DIY installed a 3rd party bulb and starter unit. Apart from that its been great + has rounded corners at the front for unrestricted viewing. A note of caution though. As I have found. A 10 gallon is very limiting in terms of stocking. You are probably looking at only being able to accomadate 20 different species. Jump up to a 20 gallon tank and you are looking at 100s of species. I wish now that I had got a 20 gallon tank but still love my first little 10 gallon.

:good:

I would definitely like to get a 20 gallon (actually a 50 gallon would be optimal) but space and money have limited my options. I'm just looking to get myself back into the hobby and have something nice to look at in my room.
