10 Gallon Tank Log - Need Immediate Help

Yeah they seem to be the happiest fish I've ever seen. (No exaggeration). They eat with no problems, show no signs of stress, and have been in since day one. The little flounder I have in right now also seems fine. Albeit its a flounder, and they dont do much lol.

I have an API master kit now. 4 viles, 6 bottles. 40 bucks, but nobody told me got 500+ uses out of it -_-
(had to get it from a mom and pop fish store)

Readings up in a moment

PH - 7.0-7.2
Ammonia - 0-.25ppm
Nitrite - .25-.50 ppm
Nitrate - 0ppm

My arm is tired from shaking the nitrate bottle too lmao. Gotta get used to the color chart too. some are really close to each other.

So there...accurate results and maybe itll help more in establishing my tank :)

You are likely cycling judging by those readings. That or your a mini cycle. I would let it be 24 hours then retest so we have an idea of where the tank is in the cycle.

Honestly I wouldn't bother pulling muscles in your arm to test for nitrate. At this point in your fish-in cycle you will be doing water changes daily so the only levels you need to worry about are ammonia and nitrite. Test the Ph once a week to make sure it stays above 7 and keep up with you're water changes and you'll be fine.

You're levels are looking much better than the strips said! Just be sure to do water changes to stay below .25 on the nitrites and ammonia. The closer to zero the better. Test ammonia and nitrites each day before a water changes to determine how much of a water change you will need to do.
