I have a 10 gal tank, and I would love to encorporate live plants. It is currently empty (no fish) and almost done cycling. (so close..) I have only rocks and plastic plants, so it looks pretty fake. I love the look of live plants and was wondering if they can live and grow in a tank that small? Which ones would be the best?

they can live and grow in a tank that small, head over to the planted section for tips, for a low light level tank, there are lots of options, too many to list :D

Thanks! I did head over to that section of the board first, but there were't too many things for people who were just beginning to use live plants. :/

well you need a few centimetres deep of gravel and the you could try vallis and java fern a sboth are easy to grow. jus push them into the gravel enough to hold them in place and you might want to get an aquarium fertiliser

Try

It gives good descriptions and pictures of plants and includes ease of growth, light requirements etc.
As previously stated, java fern or java moss are good. You can also check out anubias and cryptocorynes which are also pretty easy to grow-and if I can keep them alive anyone can! :)
