wot the hell happened to the rest of them ? it was in the bottom of the tank, with abt 30% water, and so i thought i wud put it in a breeding net, as i was doing a big water change.

i have no idea how many days old it was, but it died frm the shock of the water change n me moving it i think.

is it possible 4 a molly to just give birth 2 1 fry then stop ? or will she keep going til shes popped them all out ?

molly fry are a lot bigger then guppy fry.
So you would of found more.
So I think it was a baby guppy.
The rest got eaten.
Could only be a day old.

hiya, well, there isnt ne guppies in that tank, so it has 2 be a molly baby. unless the sucking loach managed 2 breed ? ?

if ne1 can help me solve this mystery id be grateful, as my mum n lil sister are worried abt the other pregnant molly

What doe's it look like.
How big is it? >>> [___] <<< this big?
Has it got any colour?
Most molly fry look like their parents.

Its possible that more fry were born but eaten by the other fish before you saw any. If it was hiding on the bottom of the tank (maybe in some plants?) it could have hidden from the bigger fish. I have had this happen tons of times. In my 55 gallon one molly fry has managed to survive for well over a month and there are a lot of fish in there with it. Its safer for the fry if they have their own tank but some people can't afford (or just plain don't want) to have multiple tanks with tons of fry in them.

they probably got eaten because.. my platy gave birth and i didnt even know for like two weeks.
and there was a guppy and the platty in there
and when i found them i only found four. so they probably got eaten.
