We had 8 neons and 6 guppies in our main tank along with 6 baby guppies who are in the floating breeder tank.
Just noticed that 1 neon has disappeared! Its too big to get sucked into the filter, but we checked anyway. Its not stuck in any plants and its not under the bogwood we have. Searched entire tank and it is not there! Its like its grown a pair of legs and walked on out!
We were checking over the other 7 neons and noticed 1 has like this dusty white stuff over it like a fungus type thing. We also had 1 neon that had a small lump on its stomach, thats the 1 that has vanished. 2-3 other neons have tiny amount of damage to fins, barely noticeable unless you look for it though. So is there a disease going through our neons? Will it affect the guppies? What can we do to prevent any more neons vanishing. Im guessing the 1 neon died and got eaten by the others?
HELP PLEASE!
Thanks.

Sounds like your fish died and got eaten, it's quite commonplace.
Hmm yeah sounds like you may have some illnesses in there, try treating with myxazin (if you are UK) as that solves most things.

i heared that if one of ur fish dies most of the time the other fish will be eating it. and if it had a disease it will get passed on. it might not be true
