Hi, ok here goes...
1) I bought 2 male dwarf gouramis (my LFS said it was fine to have 2 males as they're very peaceful) anyway clearly he was wrong and I took one back quickly a week later as ome was on the verge of killing the other! So my question is... is it ok to just have one dwarf gourami?? I don't really have room in my tank for 2 females and am worried if I just get 1 the same thing will happen!
2) Have been doing a fish in cycle with daily water changes and finally a month later my readings today are ammonia=0 Nitrite=0.1 (0.1 is as low as my test kit goes, no option for 0)... so do I stop my daily water changes now?? Am worried if I stop the levels will creep up!
3) Is it likely that my tank is now fully cycled or could it be the levels reduced by getting rid of the above gourami and also I had 2 Dwarf Frogs who died while I was on holiday?? (I still have 4 neon tetra, 2 Corys and 1 male Gourami) and before anyone says anything about shoals i'm adding to my tank slowly all fish will be in the correct shoal number!

P.s I was having a bit of a brown algae problem so I brought 3 shrimp, woke up this morning and there's not a bit of algae in the tank and the plants look better than when I bought them... highly recommend shrimp to everyone!!

Obviously it would be nicer for him if he had a couple of girlfirends, but he'll be ok on his own
