AS Above My Fave LFS is getting some of the US 1 Gallon Tanks. I have seen so many on this board, and they do look good.

Waiting on the price ATM, but will let you guys know how much they will be.

He does not know yet which type they are but they may be some of the following:

Ya know I hate it when it shows a picture on the box with fish in that particular fish tank that are NOT suposed to be in there. It bugs me  . But a betta would look nice. :)

I actually have that last 1 gallon.

That same one.

I can't decide if I should rescue another betta and put it in or not while Midnight takes the 10 g.

ME TOO! I have exactly that same last 1 gallon!
I have since moved my bettas to a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon, but I rescued a little veiltail not too long ago and put him in the 1g. :) He's quite happy, blowing bubbles all the time. He's my desk/study buddy.

Never kept a betta and if I did I wouldn't consider anything below 5gal.
They must get bored to death in them small tanks, and they must get polluted up fairly fast.
Sorry I just don't get it really, just because they can live in puddles then again nature takes care of them in puddles, dosn't mean they have to live there life in a 1gal tank.

Wilder is some what correct, I keep mine in 1-6 gallons, only one is housed in a one gallon and the rest 2,3 and 6 gallons. They sell the second one at my LFS but It doesn't look 1g to me :dunno:

That second one doesn't have a lid, so you'd either have to make one for it somehow, or just get a different tank. The other ones look good though. :)

As for how much water to keep bettas in, 1 gallon is said to be the minimum, but more is better of course, if possible. Personally, I only have one of my bettas in 1 gallon, and that's because he absolutely hated it in a 3 gallon tank... he paced and bit his tail as far as he could reach... now that he's back in 1 gallon his tail's growing back, no more pacing, and he bubblenests. The rest are in at least 2 gallons, and they're all very happy, and watching each other (and me when I'm in the room) keeps them from getting too bored. :)

that second one is a 1/2 gallon one commonly used for a super saltwarer nano. I love them.

And a betta doesn't get borde in it. I see more bubble nests in that then i ever see in my 10.

You are my hero  and very likely the Bettas' hero.

He's probably blowing bubbles because he's got nothing better to do :/

A 1/2 gallon tank is too small for anything but brine shrimp. It's criminal to keep a Betta or the vast majority of other animals in any tank smaller than 5 gallons.

actually I dont use lids on my bettas tanks, I acutally leave 2-3 inches off the top of the tank to make sure no jumping occurs.

I disagree. I put live plants in the 1 gallon that do ok, and the betta loves it. It makes bubble nest that take well over the top of the tank.

And i'm talking a 1/2 gallon marine nano. There are some things in marine that work out well with that.

I just moved midnight from the 10 to the 1 so I could put stuff in the 10. IMO 1 is big enough. There are worse things for bettas, such as 1 gallons with see through dividers for 2 bettas that petsmart tried to sell me.

edit - And I do agree, the bigger the better. a 2.5 gallon only cost $10. comes with a lid. He'll get that in a few days or so  Because I perfer glass over plastic.

That can work if the tank is big enough, but you don't really want to leave 2 or 3" from the top of a one gallon tank so that it's only like 0.75 gallons, seeing how 1 gallon is the minimum.

Thats true, I acutally give alittle less then that on my one gallon, The rest are two gallons or more so there fine.
