1 Dead Tiger Barb

So in my rio 350 ltr i found a dead tiger barb when i returned from work,it had one eye eaten by a clown loach as they were around the body,tank has now 5 barbs and 10 clowns what would have killed the barb!.stats are amm o,nitrite o,nitrate 20,ph 7.5-8.0.

More likely to have been the other barbs than the clown loach, but it might have just died; sometimes fish die and we never find out why (oddly enough, one of my tiger barbs died last week, for no reason that I can find; they are getting on for 5 years old though).

Without symtoms it really hard to say.
How many bards do you have in the tank?
Can you list all the fish you have in the tank please.

Tank had 6 but now 5 barbs and ten clown loaches,the only syptom is when i found it dead.today one of the five barbs is just floating in the corner been there about an hour could he be staying out the way of other barbs or ill?,i got the six barbs a month or so ago as my tank looked empty with clowns either hiding or laying on gravel so got barbs for movement but they just seem to hang around and ocasionlly bolting around a bit.

How big are the clown loaches as you have alot for your tank size.

What's the make of the test kit you are using?

Biggest i say 4 inch long 1 and half inch fat,few 3 inch and 4 under 3 inch,im running the in built 100 ltr filter which i think is top knotch where as others hate it,a fluval 305 a fluval u3,and a powerhead atatchmend stuffed with bio balls,so plenty filtering going on,

No probs now,barbs and clowns are all fine,must have been a freak death.
