hi, i have a 6 gallon tank which i am using and a 1 and a half gallon tank which is a spare . i used to have 2 guppies in their but 1 died and i have moved the other one to my 6 gallon tank. what do you think i could put in my 1 gallon tank? it has no filter or lighting just a small tank! do u think i could put one of my guppies back in there or do they get lonley on their own

The absolute minimum size tank for a trio of guppys is 5gallons, so anything less is too small- ideally 10gallons is much better for guppys. You are right though that guppys are sociable fish, so at least a group of 3 (either 2females and a male, or 3females) is best, you should have 2-3females per male for a mixed gender group or a minimum of 3females for an all-female group or a minimum of 5males for an all-male group.
All livebearers need filtration (and preferably heating, to keep the tanks temp at the right temperature and to prevent large fluctuations in temp). You could posibly use the tank to raise some fry in for a short period of time if you get some filtration and heating in there, but other than that the only fish that can go in an unheated and unfiltered tank is a single male or female betta/siamese fighting fish. Such a tank would still need very regular water changes though as there is nothing to break down the nitrites and ammonia in the tank, which if left to build up will kill any fish eventually.
What do you currently have in the 6gal and is it filtered and heated at all?

yes my 6 gal has a filter system and a light.
do u think i could put 2 guppies in the 1 gallen tank if i put a heater on it?

No, as i said its far too small for guppys whatever you do to the tank. The tank is only suitable for a single betta/siamese fighting fish.
You should also get some heating for your 6gal, whats the current fish stocking? If you have unsuitable or too many fish in the 6gallon tank, you will experience more fish deaths (and even desease) as time goes by, so its better to be on the safe side and know that you have the right fish in the right numbers in the right tank habitat/environment  .

Most fish are a no go in a 1 gallon unfortunately unless you're talking nano fish. Invertibrate tanks are fun for small tanks. Putting Ghost Shrimp and maybe a Mystery Snail are fun. There are freshwater nano fish, but they're even too big for a 1 gallon. A Betta is the only maybe for a fish, but I would put them in at least a 5 gallon personally.

ok well heres a picture of one of the guppies i used to have in it because he seemed to be fine . well i will proberly use it for fry one day if im lucky to get some.

If you use it for fry you'll still need a filter and heater, but you could use the tank as a guppy fry tank for short period of time  .

this was went over in another post of yours... the only thing capable of living in a container that small would be a betta!!!!!!!!!!

it's been said that guppies won't live well in there and asking again isn't going to get you a different respose.

You might be able to fit an Endler or two in there, though even that's pushing it, and you'd still need a filter and a heater.

you could also just have 1 betta in it. a 1 gal wasnt really put on the world for livebearers sorry they dont need heater or filter or light as long as there not in total darkness and the temrature is between 20degrees-25 degrees

thnx btw im not trying to get a different response ACTUALLY! i have just noticeed i have been asking the same question in both threads so im sorry i didnt mean 2!
