Hi friends, Which is better for a single male Betta, 1.5 gallons fishbowl or 5 gallons tank? I understand the 1.5 gallons fishbowl can have a weekly 100% water change, while a 5 gallons tank with filtration can have only a partial weekly water change. So, which is better for a Betta, complete water change or partial water change? Thanks & bye

i would personally go for the 5 gallon. Its better for the betta and i think easier to do water changes, all you need to do is jug about 50%? out, and pour the right temp. dechlorinated water back in.

:good:

Definately the 5gallon, your betta will be much happier in there. I also find it to be MUCH easier to do partial water changes than to have to do a full water change. Good luck!

Thanks sparky_555, fishkiller_nomore, ImperfectFaerie, Sfo5 & DiscusLova for very kindly posting your votes for 5 gallons. The Betta shall be in 5 gallons. Bye.

I'm so excited to see pictures of your Betta- I know you have done so much research before even getting to the point of owning a fish, I do hope you enjoy it! Good luck!

I have a 5 gallon without a filter, I do a 10% change every evening, only takes a few minutes.
