broken whisker

My pictus catfish snapped his whisker, it's still hanging on but snapped in half or at least it was when I had to leave for work, but where it snapped their is a white cloudyness? Is this an infection! I really just have no idea what to do? Is he gonna be okay and if it is an infection, how...
