Hi, I'm thinking of setting up an aquarium at the community I'm living at which will be around 191L. It will have a 20L internal filter attached to it (so basically 171L) for the fish.   I'm thinking of adding loads of filter media, and maybe some java moss balls at the top of the filter too...

my problem with endlers is that i cannot find any :( if i find, will it be ok if they just have 30cm to swim horizontally only?

not sure if 1 redhorn and 1 apple snail would work too? dont want more of either just in case they mate!

pablo, the problem with frogs is that they prefer horizontal not vertical tanks due to their swimming habbits .. so frogs outta question too :(

thanks for your suggestion! great that you enjoyed malta ;) well i've just moved back from the uk, where i had 2 x 4 feet so not as such a beginner, just here at my mum's house i'm not allowed to go beyond the 40cm mark lol :D hopefully as they get to like the fish i can go once more for a 4feet...

mine is just 5.5 gallon and its a vertical not horizontal .. that's my problem :(

seems endlers aren't good afterall .. harlequins need openspace.. so shall it be red cherry shrimps?

malta is very sunny (even in winter) so if i keep the aquarium in direct sunlight + 8 hrs of bulb light it should be ok no? i will also supply cucumbers + algae pellets. btw tank is 6.5cm sided hexagon at 32.5cm height. 23 liters / 5 gallons

animalhouse, malta is an island in the Mediterranean - no one ships here :( thanks for the effort but thanks for the info lilfishie and for your constant support! i wouldn't mind 3 ottos and a siamese .. will they live good together and in this atmosphere?

as i thought .. no endlers in malta. are zebra dainos ok with the siamese? and in my tank do ottos live happily?

thanks for the suggestion! read that zebra dainos are fin nippers too ey :( ottos? they don't like to swim yet they are very nice! say 2? re endlers i'll try to get hold of them then. i have to remain males only or i can do 4f / 1m? maybe i get some breeding going? wont mind if the betta has...
