    Odd Nbd Gourami 'personality'?

According to every stereotype that I know of, gouramis are a timid kind of fish in general. My mother's is very skittish. But my male neon dwarf blue is odd, to say the least. He's absolutely obsessed with food, and not the least bit shy. Any sort of movement doesn't scare him, but instead, he...

    Snake Help

I have all my snakes on a day/night cycle. I think that it's good for them. We want to replicate the good in their natural evironment as much as we can, after all.   In regards to the pipe: I've never seen a corn who didn't like tubes. That's the only kind of hide one of my corns' will use.

Honestly, corns will thrive easily. As long as the warm side is about 80-85F, It probably will be fine.

    Snake Help

Great info! Yeah, I wondered if perhaps he'd need a small rat, but as you said, he looks a bit chubby. Most snakes can live their life on mice, but he's such a big boy! Anyways, Flora is lovely. I love butters, almost as much as I love caramels. -Edited to add- Most of the UTH in the US are...

    Snake Help

No problem! F/T means Frozen/Thawed. The bag isn't necessary, you can just put it in the water, but I find it easier with a bag. I don't like the mouse to drip all over the floor.

    The Snakes

Ah. I guess that makes sense. Sort of a sub-group, if you will.  Thanks for correcting me, I've always been mistaken . :)

    Snake Help

Tomorrow would be too soon. He could regurge, and with snakes, the stomach acid won't return for weeks. Not a good way to start off the big guy. Frozen and then thawed (F/T) is the best way to go in my opinion. It is the cheapest and safest. Put the mouse in a baggie in cold water for about 30...

    The Snakes

Okeetee is Carolina, just selectively bred to have brighter colors and thick, dark saddles. Although, as I said before, I like the thinner saddles honestly. My Carolina has pretty, thin saddles that I love.

    Snake Help

Wow! Congratulations! He's a pretty boy. Warm side should be about 80-85F,  and the cold side, about 75 F. Use an under the tank heater with a thermostat rather than lights. For feeding, prekilled or F/T, but F/T won't have parasites and will save money. Don't feed live no matter what.   I have...

    The Snakes

Very pretty! I love the thin borders. Most people go crazy for the okeetees, but I prefer thinner borders. Anyways, if Sakana has an amel parent, I'd bet the combination was a SK het hypo and a hypo. Do you have any plans to test out those genes? You could your two this winter, if they are old...

    Snails

A gravid malaysian snail hitched a ride on a plant to my mom's tank, then proceeded to cover the bottom of the aquarium in eggs. We don't have to feed the loaches as often, but siphoning up hundreds of empty millimeter long shells every few weeks is a chore. We used to have a nice, small...

    Is This Plant Only Semi-Aquatic?

Thank you both! That was a fast reply!     How do I go about doing that?

    Is This Plant Only Semi-Aquatic?

So when I was recently at the petstore I go to in order to buy bloodworms, I decided to look at the plants that they had and I noticed something. So, the plants are contained in plastic tubes that have, boldly, '-STORE NAME- AQUATIC PLANT'. When I saw a plant that sort of resembled one of the...
