I rinsed both the bag and the sponge, but the water is still flowing over the tube. Also, I think the intake tube is vibrating slightly because it's making this low humming noise and I can't get it to stop

Nothing wrong with a tank, just a question. Two of my amano shrimp have molted and I left the shells in there for them to eat. But after a few days they just sat there. Do the shells cause any problems for the tank or should I leave them in for the shrimp?

Ok, all of you have been very helpful, and I should probably go with @Byron 's option and euthanize the fish because it's in very bad condition. I will also try and regime some of them since the nipping will just continue on.
