Do you clean your filter media regularly? I suggest doing a bit of research and purchasing a new filter and run them in conjunction with each other for a week or two then simply take the old filter out and solely run the new one.
I bought my first tank as a kit so the filter and heater was included. The filter was pretty cheap and just about done the job. I have since upgraded my tank and bought a Fluval U2 filter. I have noticed a huge difference.
Have you done any water tests? Do you treat your water, and if so what...
Below is my thread with some amateur pictures of my tank :). I will try get some better pics in the near future.

Hi guys,
Thought I would share some images of my new tank now it is complete.
So far it is stocked with:
1 x Molly
2 x Scissortail Rasbora
5 x Neon Tetra
2 x Male Guppies
1 x Bristlenose Pleco
To me it sounds like issues with your water. Since you have lost multiple fish, this tells me it's nothing to do with the fish itself. As seen above, Mollies thrive in harder waters so I recommend slowly changing your water parameters.
Hi budified, the first fish I purchased to start my tank was 2 mollies but one sadly passed away a few months back. I understand they like a little salt in the water but could not change the water conditions for one fish. My molly does seem pretty calm but a little lonely as the other fish group...
I experienced similar issues with my old filter which came with my starter tank. This was a relatively cheap filter and would occasionally make a soft buzzing noise. Unplugging it for about a minute and plugging it back in seemed to work a treat.
Hi guys,
Just thought I would introduce myself to the Forum. I am pretty new to fish keeping having only had my tropical tank for less than half a year. I have recently upgraded my tank from a 40 litre to a Fluval 90 litre tank. It contains a Molly, 2 Male Guppies, 5 Neon Tetras, a Bristlenose...
