If you use gel supper glue you can drop it back in the tank after you put it on, people glue coral frags like this all the time and it cures under water fast.

Looks 100% female to me, nice fish. You can tell cause she has blue spangles on her spot males wont have this, better way to tell if they don't have a pink belly.

The hill stream loaches like cooler temps, ive kept them in warm tanks but only for like 2 month and now there in a cold tank with white could minnows.

Yea they were something I couldn't pass on, these cichlid that need cool down periods are fun to keep. I have Gymnogeophagus gymnogenys and cichlasoma la palma with these guys. seems like a fun group once they get bigger and start spawning.
