so i have a 90 gallon aquarium thats been established for about a year now i only have 4 fish in the tank as of now because im waiting to figure out what the problem is out of the tap my water has about .25 ammonium and for some reason my tank has .5 to 1 after i test even after 50 to 75 % water...
my ph out of tap is around 8.0 but when its in my tank its around 7.2-7.4 im planning on keeping african cichlids should i add crushed coral? and since my ph is high out of the tap do i need to worry about adding buffers to the new water when i do water changes. or can i get by without messing...

Thinking about getting the coral life t5 HO for my 40 gallon breeder. it puts out 78 watts. which puts me at about 2 watts per gallon... (i know thats not a accurate way of determinating if it would be enough light but i dont really understand PAR lol). Would i need to use co2 to compinsate...

why are my plants turning yellowish brown? i have corkscrew vals and my lighting is a aqueon modular led. i dose API leaf zone every week which adds iron and potassium. no co2 lights are on about 10 hours

my ph is 8.2 out of the tap and im using peat moss currently to lower it. its now at 7.4 and i want t keep it consistently at that. im worried that when i do a water change my ph will rise.. anything i can do to keep it stable??
hey everyone thinking about getting a pair of krib, but i have heard they like lower ph. my ph is rather high around 7.5 to 8 and dont feel like adding chemicals to lower it. would it just be better to keep my ph the same and not try to mess with it?
