    Second 60 ltr tank

We are not away till May, so plenty of time to plan. As for the fish feeder, the one I have already I have on test, just an empty dish to collect the food, at the moment I am testing to see if it jams, and if it misses a turn plus how long a full filling will last, food is small granules. The...

    Daphnia tank set up

I have got a 25 to 30 ltr plastic tank, filled it with rain water, put in a outside filter but no filter medium (sponge) this was just to circulate water, got 2 packs of live Daphnia and put in tank, added a little yeast, the tank is in my greenhouse. Just got to sit back and wait now.

    Internal filter and cloudy water

The quantity of fish was not my idea, our local fish shop I wonted to buy 2 mail guppy's but the assistant said I have to buy 4 female's to go with them, this has happened on more than one occasion. The water is looking a lot clearer this morning.

Hi, the sponges have black particles that looks like from the compost, I have been planting some more plants. The rinse water I would say is clear. I have blue sponge in the filter that came with it, do you think I should buy a different sponge? .

Thanks for all the reply's, if ever my new tank arrives I will try 50/50 as suggested and keep my fingers crossed. So far my old tank is a joke, a plastic container from the local hardware shop with one gold fish rescued from the pond, he is only 2 inches long, when the weather improves he will...
