    Plants

I have a tank just a bit bigger than 2.5 ft, with sand, wood and rocks and I can grow vallis (A ridiculous amount, it literally covers 1/4 of the floor space in there), anubias on some wood, crypts, bacopa and i've had a couple of swords but they got huge. All of that on an 18w bulb with no Co2...

    Rainbow Fish

Couple of questions about rainbow fish, I really like the look of them but i'm not sure my tank is suitable. I've got a 29 gallon tank, currently home to a lot of bristlenoses, although im hoping to sell them on so essentially it will be empty when im considering new fish. The tank is quite...

    Post Your Jokes On Here

A baker decided to rob a bank, he was quickly caught and questioned about his motives, he sighed and explained "I only did it cos I knead the dough" :fun: *sigh*

    Which Bulbs?

Presuming you have white light bulbs at the moment, switching to one of the coloured varieties like the natural or colour or whatever probably would reduce the plants CO2 consumption because although they are of the same power, the wavelengths of the light emitted by the bulbs are different and...

    Plants?

The lights in a Rio 240 should be fine for a low tech planted tank, you could add some sort of cheap CO2 which would increase the range of plants you could have, having a planted tank isn't so hard so don't be put off by some of the expensive gear you see, good luck with it :good:

    T8 Light Help...

I found that when I took one light out of my T8 unit both stopped working anyway, you may find this is the case, you could cover the contacts in a load of electrical/duck tape, as a temporary fix until you source a new bulb :)

    Ram (Ddr2/ddr3)

I was thinking something on the cheaper side such as this, I guess the one you suggested is more efficient/better for overclocking? Out of interest, is it better to have one stick of 4gb, or two sticks or 2gb, or is there little difference? EDIT, I notice the one you suggested has a latency of...

    Shrimp+Copper

I have a small cube tank with very little in it at the moment, it was set up about 2 and a half years ago, I was wondering about taking all the fish out of it and replacing them with cherry and amano shrimp, the only issue is that when I first had the tank I used Protozin, which I know contains...

    Ram (Ddr2/ddr3)

Thank you so much for making that clear for me :) It says DIMM 240-Pin on the sticks i'm looking at, i'm not sure what that means?

    Ram (Ddr2/ddr3)

I'm looking to buy some more RAM for my machine, but its very confusing, I have an ASROCK N68C-S UCC motherboard, which has slots for both DDR2 and DDR3, and is socket am2+, however it supports am3 processors. The processor I have is socket am2+ (AMD Athlon II x2 250) and i'm not sure whether or...

    35 Gallon Stocking

I was under the impression that GBRs also need a high temperature which the other fish you have listed may not appreciate, there are fish, like Cardinals, that will go with Rams quite nicely though. I think with the 5x Molly or Tetra I would go with a tetra of some kind, that's just my opinion...

    Pike Cichlids

Ah i've already had my fair share of BN plecs  tbh I can't wait to get rid of them cos they're preventing me from having any other fish. I thought Keyholes and T-Bars got a bit to big for a 29g (US) same with a shoal of colombian tetra?

    Pike Cichlids

Ah its not quite 3ft :( ah well, i'm sure i'll find something to suit, basically looking for a SA Cichlid I can have in a pair or more in a 29g, i'm thinking Rams and a shoal of Cardinals or similar. I like apistos too though :good:
