The bladder snails are evil. They multiply by the hundreds.

That's funny. These rams horns aren't too bad. They fit right in my shrimp tank.

This snail hitchiked on some plants we bought. It's big for a pest snail so I'm wondering if it's something else. Any ideas of what this could be?

They weren't meant for the same tank but still 4 in a 65 gallon is a no no. I don't really want one. I have long fin black skirt tetras and if one fin gets nipped I'm going to loose it.

I am beginning to feel better finally. Now I have to figure out what to put them in to take them back.

So it was grooming day for our dog and I came down with the flu. Sent my hubs to take her and he said he's look at the fish. I had told him I wanted some long fin red serpea tetras if they had them. They didn't. He came home with buenos aires tetras (which I like, so cool) and 4, yes 4 rainbow...

Good news. The tank is back to good parameters including ammonia. I had the store my daughter works at hold the plecos I ordered but they unfortunately died at the store.

Watch Craigslist. Stuff pops up frequently. I got a 65 gallon complete set up with a handmade stand for 150. The lady had neck surgery and just couldn't physically maintain it any more.

I got 3. They are doing great. Not shy about eating with the rest of their tetra bretheren.

We picked these guys out for my husband for Father's day. We also added some ghost shrimp 2 months ago. They are so entertaining to watch.
