Hello again.
Do you think that 6 pygmy corydora could co-inhabit a 25l tank with a betta and 6 neon tetra?
Or would this be over stocking?
I have been watching the betta since I added some extra plants and he is definitely exploring more, laying about in the wisteria plants and under the red...
Thanks for the advice, I haven’t noticed any nipping and have been watching closely but the betta does seem to prefer hanging out in the wisteria or in the corner of the tank so I’ll keep monitoring and if he isn’t out of his shell soon I’ll move into a new tank more quickly.
Thanks all for the responses!
I’m going to rehome the pleco ASAP. I’ll see if the shop will take it back and if not offer it online free to a good home with adequate space. It’s about 2.5-3cm at the moment.
I’ll also had some more plants to create more hiding places for the shrimp.
is there...
It looks great - how do you layer them like that? Also is it okay to have plants up against and touching the filter and/or the heater?
Its only a 25w heater and it hasn’t had to turn on yet as the water sits around 24C at room temperature (Australian summer).
I’ll have a look next time I am in the shop. The betta loves to hang out in the wisteria and for some reason likes to lie sucked up against the filter.
Hello and thank you ?.
Right now I have 1 betta, 6 neon tetra, a bristlenose pleco and a couple of red cherry shrimp.
I am scared to over stock so I’ll leave it like this for the time being, or possibly get a second bigger tank and do something else. I would like to increase the neon tetra...
Novice to this new and highly addictive hobby.
25 litre tank at the moment already with plans for expansion :).
Enjoyed reading the advice posted here by experienced aquarists as a lurker prior to a poster.
Hey everyone,
First time poster and I am new to the forum - I have been a lurker for a few weeks and appreciating all the info shared.
I have had a look online for the answers to my questions (which I couldn't find) so apologies if I am repeating something here.
I am new to keeping tropical...
