What would be some good starter tropical fish to get? I want something that looks unique and colorful but that can live in freshwater. any suggestions?

I have two blue paradise gouramis and one dwarf gouramis that are "supposed" to be peacful fish (so says walmart) but one of the BPG (the one i like most because of its bright orange and blue stripes) (the other one is more blue and isnt as pretty) is being picked on hard core by the other one...

I think its kept between 68 and 72. And the others are all between 70 something and 82 (tropical ones i mean) all the coldwater tanks share the same water and all the tropical tanks share the same water.

Well... I actually work there at walmart in the pet department (let me add that im the only one who cares anything at all about the fish sold there) (or about anything else in my department at that.) We only sell male guppies and they are like 3 dollars. these little fish were just swimming...
