For me to put intake and return hoses straight up and down would probably mean having to not also have my HOB's or to get new tops as my glass tops don't have openings on sides. I will move intake toward middle of tank and see if less lateral movement helps. Don't want to cut and shorten hoses...

I've never medicated as a prevention. As far as time to quarantine? Most say 2 weeks to 4 weeks. That's the range I've used. If I have no need to use the qt tank otherwise I usually would go a month. If any problems that restarts the time again.

Thanks for reply. The fish are same size. Think I'll use a transparent tank divider for a bit before introducing them to others. No pecking order seems established but one tank is all males. Quarantine tank are unsure.

I have a 55 stocked with the following: 4 Angel fish , 3 cat fish [4"], 10 rasboras , 12 Lemon tetras. Filtration is on fluval#307 and a Marineland 375. Should this be okay with this filtration? Presently the Lemon Tetras are in quarantine tank as I just received them.
