Haha thats good to hear. Dont overuse the ammonia remover no need to overkill your ammonia will slowly reduce. I recommend to use water conditioner as well as he causes the ammonia to he less harmful and I certainly agree with collin. If your slowly reducing ammonia and then suddenly add more...
If its going down then thats good. I also didnt fred my fish for two days to minimise further ammonia build up. This worked as my good bacteria wasnt fighting against added waste. Continue doing water changes, dechrolinate your water, stall feeding fish (this wont harm them).
Hey guys i’m currently looking for tropheus to buy. Any sort would be good but id mainly want •tropheus linangu yellows, •tropheus bemba reds or even •tropheus dubsoi. Im also keen on the following:
1. Chimoto yellow cichlids
2. Neolamprologus caudopunctatus 3.Neochromis greenwoodi
4...
Honestly i had the same problem and asked a question here about ammonia. A lot of things i did didnt work until i decided to do a 50% water change and instead of adding freshwater i added water from a family members main tank. Within 1 day ammonia levels dropped to 0 and ever since than its...
Alot of people recommended just 1 because they can kill eachother but it also depends on the size of the tank i guess. I would honestly recommend 1 per 10 gallons or like 40 Litres. For your 55 gallon tank i reckon you can get away with maybe around 4. Also would be good to even out the male and...
I used to have 1 in his own 80L tank. I tried bumblee gobies that seemed to do fine. Once i started adding other species such as mollies i found that my puffer started getting stressed and a bit aggressive. Due to figure 8 puffers water conditions not many fish are able to be suitable tank mates...
Sorry the picture wont load. But with my experience your fish could be stressed, especially if its hiding. About the red line im not to sure what that represents but i would try separating it in either another tank or in a breeding box and see how it goes. If its still not looking good nor...
Ahh yea okay thanks, not planning to have more than 1 peacock species. Im planning to have 2-3 females for every male sp like 1 male electric yellow and 2 females then ill do that with the other species of fish i put in.
Yes i have done a lot of research i know a fair bit about breeding. I have a 4ft tank and planning to have 20 max fish with 2-3 females for every 1 male of a species. I was just confused about which fish cross breed. I have bred my electric yellows before in a separate but smaller tank I...
The scientific name for them is cynotilapia afra. There blue with black stripes going downwards and a bit of orange on there head. So any similar cichlid will cross breed?. So for peacocks all females look similar is that why they will crossbreed
Hey guys i have asked a bit of questions before but this will be my biggest. Its about cross breeding. I have a 75 gallon tank its new and cycled. So far i have 3 trios of african cichlids. These include eureka reds, electric yellows and alfa cobues. Im planning to get more but mainly a red...
hey guys i recently bought 1 male alfa cobie and 3 females. I know this because the male is the same size and is fully coloured with orange while the other 3 are plain coloured. The person i also bought them off stated this. My question is i recently added them into my new tank which has other...
Yes i only have 3 fish, two small electric yellows who have both had fry before. Then one really big dominant male. He usually eats all the food but this time his just breathing heavy like his either trying to spit out something or choking
