I agree. Its worth the wait. I ran a fishless cycle on 2 of my 15 gal tanks. both took about 12 days to cycle. I believe the rule of 1 inch of fish to 1 gallon would give you about 12 guppies and platties. I'm running an oversized filter so i should be able to house an extra one or at a push 2...

Hmm Sounds really strange to me. To be honest if my sand was deaseased i'd just replace it. i mean at £2.50 a bag who can complain.

Hi all I've noticed yesterday that my Platties have caught white spot. Probably from a neon tetra i have in there. They are covered in white spot and one has already died Is it too late for them all to surive? Cheers

Cheers for that into but i broke an attachment on my filter which connect the spray bar. I've not had to remove the spray bar and put another section that does not aggitate the surface.

Hi all I'm wondering whats the best type of air bubbles to have in your water. Mine are currently quite largeish bubbles. Are small bubbles much better? If i pass my air machine through the filter i get lots of tiny bubbles in the tank. Is this much better that just through an airstone...

Air pump is already in the tank. I'll have to do another water change tonight. I've frozen some water in a bottle to add into the tank hoping that will cool things down a bit. I'm hoping that with a 25% water change should help things.

Cheers For the info but wat about all my plants. I think i will do a large clearout. Remove all plants sort and clean the add some new water in there. Re-set plants etc. Clean filter And try again. Hopefully all will be good.

I don't think any room sprays have got in as the tanks are covered with a lid. Plus bith tanks are in the same room. So why would one be affected and not the other. What does the redness on the gill mean? Also is it ok to put more fish in?
