    Lighting For Mixed Trop Tank

Have you tried using the anti 'naff' switch on the lights? Perhaps if you explain what the problem is a little better some people will be able to give you better advice tha I just did. :)

    Very Aggresive Angels

Biff, I am not particularily interested in having a breeding pair, I am more interested in can I keep the 2 feamles together. Karin, 1. Sounds exactly like where is was. Was not until maturity hit in that any problems arose. 2. I had the same belief. Cheers

    Very Aggresive Angels

One question answered. Both angels are female. Now that I know that the big question, do they need to be seperated?

    Smoking!

I smoked a pack of 25s for over 20 years. Gave up recently, used the nicotine patches. I started with the pre-quit patches, you can still smoke while wearing the patch. I used a different approach this time round, if I felt like a cigarette I had one, didn't kick myself, just perservered. It...

    Very Aggresive Angels

Further Update. Almost 2 weeks on, they are still going for it hammer and tongs. The known female is certainly the more aggressive of the 2, the second also shows signs of some fin damage.

    Very Aggresive Angels

Thanks for your replys. :) I was watching them this morning before work, the female (the one I know to be female) was chasing the other Angel around the tank, and had her breeding tube showing. I see three possibilities. 1. Other Angel is male and is breeding behaviour as mentioned above. 2...

    Very Aggresive Angels

Hi I have 2 Angels in my 55 gallon tank, with schools of tetras and harlequin rasboras. Well planted. The Angels were bought young after the tank was cycled roughly 12 months ago. I know one angel is defintely female, she has laid eggs, with the other quickly feasting on them. Over the last...

    Missing Tail

Good Morning everyone, One of my Serpae Tetras has had its tail fin ripped right off. Unsure as to what or who is the culprit, possibly one the angels. Anyway, my main question is, the tailless fish, what to do? It can still swim, but not especially well, it is still getting food, the injury...

Python Tank Cleaner - Do You Have One?

I use a regular siphon to take out water, with tube long enough to run out the door and straight into the garden. I then use a python ripoff to fill direct from the kitchen faucet, a quick temp match and away we go. Best thing I ever did, clean, no mess, no buckets.

My Cycle's Almost Done, Need To Finalize My Stock!

I've had 2 angels and 12 serpae from when my 60 gallon tank was established back in April/May. All getting along fine. I think the nipping that serpaes are known for are when their numbers are a fair bit lower. I'd also only go with 1 BN, mine was tiny when I got him, 4 month later he's a...

Recently Added External Filter To Tank

I removed my Juwel internal after a month of running both the internal and external together. I also cut up the sponges on the internal and put some of the pieces in one of the eheim trays for piece of mind.

    What Should I Be Doing!

There is no definitive answer that can be given. Technically, they are all correct in their advice, to a degree, and all wrong, to a degree. The hobby has changed over the years, new ideas, new techniques. Perhaps, they could of lived for 4 years with more regular water changes. To use an...
