Well she is having more so far 13 more. One was deformed the rest are swimming around and looking great. But i don't think she is done yet.

I just got done moving my older molly and guppy fry out of the nets and into a gallon. Put the nets up and was feeding big fish when i couldn't find one of my guppies. Finally found her hiding behind a rock was worried that she was sick when all the sudden out pops a fry. Got the net back out...

One case proves very little. I too have come across male guppies who are less sexually active than is normal for the species (possibly a result of inbreeding). But you can't rely on it. We get many threads on this forum to do with sexual agression in livebearers. I think that's the problem...

Right now it's one male and one female. Since my other female died last week. I also have 4 baby guppy fry. Sounds like this is a good excusse to convince my hubby i need more fish. LOL

The last few days i've seen my male guppy trying to mate with my female molly. Has anyone else had a problem with this. It's kinda funny to watch since she is much bigger then him. But i'm wondering if he is confused since i never see him bother my female guppy but she is also pregnant...

I can answer this one. My dh used to work for the water department and they had to know all kinds of weird things. Anyway a gallon of water weights 8lbs. But I'd think with a concrete floor you'd be ok.

I'm buying a tank for my fry tomorrow. If i use water from the main tank will i still need to cycle the new tank? And would it cause less stress on the babies?

I have a molly that due any day to have babies. When i was checking on her this morning on one side inbetween her stomach and back fin is a spot that has raised scales and looks red underneath. Anyone have any ideas what this is?
