    Tail Injury On Molly

She's seems to fine now actually. I guess it was just one of those things where you get worse before you get better.   There's one other swordtail, and a few mollies. There's also neon tetras, corydoras, and ottos.   Tank paramaters: Ammonia - 0 mg/L Nitrite - 0 mg/L Nitrate - 10 mg/L pH - 7.6...

    Tail Injury On Molly

Her tail is starting to become white and frayed now, I'm getting worried. Does anybody have any idea what I should do? I lost a swordtail a couple of weeks ago like this. I tried Melafix, Furan 2, and Erythromycin.   Now it's happening with my molly! Someone please help :(

Swordtail Pregnant? Or Cause Of Worry?

Honestly, I have no idea. Two of them are yellowish, and the remaining six are pitch black. Maybe it was her and one of my black mollies that had the fry.

Swordtail Pregnant? Or Cause Of Worry?

Yea I have some 3 month old fry. It's nice seeing them grow. I also found 8 fry within the last two weeks!

    Tail Injury On Molly

Is there anything that will make it heal faster? Or is that what the salt is for? I already have some salt in my tank.

    Tail Injury On Molly

Hi, I noticed last night one of my lyretail mollies tail was chipped. The bottom bit seemed shorter. Now I noticed that the center of its tail is split. The fish is still the same in terms of behaviour. And I don't think it was attacked, it usually is the dominant one. Should I be worried...

Fishtank Crisis! Ich And Fin Rot!

Thanks for the replies, but you're right Wilder, I don't have access to those medications.   I know I'm asking for a lot of your time, but do you think you can recommend something for me from one of these websites? Fishtank Crisis! Ich And Fin Rot!

Hi, I know this is a long post, but I really need help. So please bear with me. I have a 20 gallon tank that's been running for 3 months now. I think 5 days ago I got 3 lyretail swords and 2 black mollies to join my 3 regular swordtails, 3 mollies, 3 corys, and otocinclus. Every fish seems...

New Lyretail Sword Ich Getting Worse

Okay I'm going through a crisis right now.   I have a swordtail who I'm suspecting has fin rot, and it's getting pretty bad. I had her for 3 months, and this is the first time I'm having problems with her. I posted about her...

White Streak On Tail Of Swordtail

It's getting worse! The tail is starting to get frayed. She's still very active and stuff, but this obviously isn't good.   I know I should get my water tested, but I just don't have the time right now to go get my water tested. I have to be at school every day, pretty much all day for the next...

New Lyretail Sword Ich Getting Worse

Update: Okay so I researched my question and answered it myself. Neither Pimafix nor Melafix are intended to deal with ich. I also noticed most people advocate salt and an increased water temperature. Some went on saying that it's 100% effective! So I'm increasing my temperature to 83-85...

New Lyretail Sword Ich Getting Worse

Hi,   I got a male and two female marigold lyretail swords three days ago.   They've adjusted very well. They nip my fingers whenever I put my hand in the tank, like the rest of my fish.   They don't get abused by other fish (anymore).   They are very active, and eat well.   But my male lyretail...

White Streak On Tail Of Swordtail

I'm not sure about the water parameters, I haven't had the chance to test it for a couple of weeks.   My tank's been cycled for 3 months now, and it's a 20 gallon.   I think it's fin rot, the streak is getting more noticeable.
