I’ve a Lemon pleco which I’ve had for a while .He seem healthy enough but I’ve just noticed a couple of black spots have appeared one on his head and one on his side.Any ideas? Thks

i purchased a corbo catfish root medium piece of driftwood.I’ve now been trying to sink this for six weeks now.I’ve had these in the past when it’s been about three weeks to sink.I’am running out of ideas. Thks.

I already use some rainwater on water changes to soften the water as I have hard water.

I have large water butt in the garden.Doing it with rain water would make it a lot easier and quicker.

Would cleaning my external filter sponges in rain water instead of tank water affect the good bacteria.As there’s no chlorine in it,I thought it would be ok.Anyone done this. Thks.

I’ve had similar things in the past.I just think it’s bad stock.I’ve found recently it’s getting hard to find cardinals of a decent size and healthy.

I‘am currently keeping congos and cardinal tetra with no problems at all.

Thks,I’ve always done weekly water changes.I was just trying to compare the two.Just being cautious to stocking my new tank.Considering my large water changes I might go with a lemon BN pleco,just didn’t fancy both. Thks again.

I’am looking at stocking a new tank.What do you think would produce the most waste 5 oto’or 1 small bristle nose pleco ?It will be over filtered Thks.
