Ok so im doing a "fish-in" cycle fish have been in about a week - 2 tiger barb, ive been using the test strips utill now and all seemed fine, but they are very hard to read and be sure... so today i got a test kit with the drops... can anyone tell me if this is fine: Ammonia: 0.50 Nitrite: 1.0...

great, im deff going to get a couple of the frogs, a snail and a few shrimp... ill get the baster to feed the frogs too, i see they like bloodworm, do i need anything at the bottom of my tank, currenty i have those big smooth Biorb black stones and some of the stones that come in the birob...

i like the look of those frogs, can i keep them in the Biorb, even though they have nowhere out of the water to hang out?

Hey, Sorry I thought I had posted a reply was late at night... I really like the look of the big tailed fish here.. the guppy?: http://www.aqua-fish.net/imgs/fish/guppy3.jpg and the Harlequin rasboras look nice... how big do those apple snails grow ? the image make them look huge maybe big...

So im doing a "fish in" cycle... i know its bad but i was poorly advised and im stuck this way now.. im testing and changing water as needed... and i have this Stress coat stuff that removes chlorine from the tap water... Im wondering how long before i add the "new" water to the thank i need...

wow thanks for the stocking ideas, i never knew we could have a snail! when can i put that in, is it hardy... and are crabs possible too?

Thanks all....... So im going to get a new heater.... and the testing drops. So, once my cycle is complete im going yo rehome the Tiger Barbs (whoud a shop buy them off me?) So my question now is, as the tank is a gift for the GF and she likes fish like the neon tetra's and the bright...

yea, the heater came with the Biorb, its on its lowest setting, has an temp indicator scale on the front, currently its set to 20c yet the tank is 27 c I think its knackered, can anyone suggest a good heater?

Thanks M00se, The heater light is not suck on, comes on now and then... and my door is wide open.. doesnt seem hot here.. its odd.. is 27 too high? is there any certian way the heater shd be set up... EG deep in the tank.. or always vertical? Also, shd i feed these fish yet or leave it until...
